Proper alignment:
Proper alignment is the state in which the natural curves of your spine are all in alignment. How you sit, lift, sleep, or carry yourself are all important for helping your spine stay properly aligned. When the spine or vertebra are not in proper alignment the back muscles, ligaments, discs and spinal joints are all under increased and uneven stress. This can lead to abnormal wear patterns ultimately lead to acute or chronic pain patterns.

Lack of motion also restricts the transfer of oxygen rich blood to the discs that form a cushion between the bones in your spine; this can lead to accelerated disc degeneration.
