Proper alignment:
Proper alignment is the state in which the natural curves of your spine are all in alignment. How you sit, lift, sleep, or carry yourself are all important for helping your spine stay properly aligned. When the spine or vertebra are not in proper alignment the back muscles, ligaments, discs and spinal joints are all under increased and uneven stress. This can lead to abnormal wear patterns ultimately lead to acute or chronic pain patterns.

Appropriate movement is essential for maintaining healthy joints, tissues and organs. Movement helps to lubricate and nourish your joints. When joints become tight and restricted it is difficult for nutrients to reach the cartilage since cartilage has very poor blood supply. This process ultimately leads to abnormal wear patterns and degeneration of the joint. This can also lead to premature osteoarthritis. Lack of motion also restricts the transfer of oxygen rich blood to the discs that form a cushion between the bones in your spine; this can lead to accelerated disc degeneration.
