Back2Strength is excited to expand our services and welcome licensed massage therapist Marci Martin to our team. Marci has worked in the Chiropractic field in Eugene since 1996 and as a licensed Massage Therapist since 2001.

Over the past 12 years, Marci has specialized in Swedish relaxation massage, deep tissue and injury recovery techniques, as well as pregnancy and post-partum massage.

With confident hands, Marci uses her knowledge of cupping, T-bar therapy, myofascial trigger point therapy, fascial abrasion and positional release techniques to help the body heal. Her patients have reported excellent improvement in the relief of headaches and ongoing pain patterns.

In her free time, Marci enjoys cooking, gardening and canning. She and her husband spend a great deal of time outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking and snowmobiling throughout Oregon. Physical fitness is a priority in Marci’s life and for over a year she has participated in our high intensity strength training program with great results.

A quick note/reminder about exercising outside after surrounding forest fire smoke fills the air.....is it safe and without potential consequence??
The higher the level of warning or level of particles in the air, the higher the chance of irritation you may experience (sinus, throat, cough, eye, respiratory irritation). These will be exacerbated if you have any risk factors or pre-existing conditions like heart or lung disease, asthma or allergies.
If you do run when you smell smoke you risk respiratory irritation. When you run, you breathe faster and more deeply taking in fine particles deeper into your lungs. During exercise, people can increase their air intake as much as 10 to 20 times over their resting level. Increased breathing rates bring more pollution deep into the lungs.
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

*Be smart out there running if the smoke covers town again.......a safe alternative would be to strength train or run in doors!

90 percent of all of the stimulation of your brain comes from the movement of the spine. If you're constantly sitting still and not exercising the body or treating the spine, your brain will lose out on the necessary stimulation it needs to live a long life. Get out there and make your brain come alive! #back2strength #chiropractic #strengthismedicine #investinyourhealth ... See MoreSee Less

Don't forget that any exercise is better than no exercise. You're getting stronger and healthier every time you make the decision to do something good for your body. The positive change and progress may be slow, but over time you'll be at a whole new level you never thought possible. #back2strength #strengthismedicine #investinyourhealth #anyprogressisgoodprogress ... Most things in life that we face are not easy, but does that mean we just give up on "most things in life"?? Absolutely not! We find a way to make it work and not only that, we do it to the best of our ability because we might as well! Taking care of your body is one of those "things in life" that's really hard. If we give it our best effort and stay consistent however........it will indeed be worth it! #back2strength #strengthismedicine #investinyourhealth #wortheverydropofsweatbloodandtears ...
